i want to remove grub temporarily becasue it is giving me problems when i have my windows boot disk in the drive

i want it off of there for now so that i can be back to a virgin system, which i work nest with

lol, i'm not exactly sure what that means

but i have tried putting it in the other way, it does not fit as the closed pin space would try to get a pi inseretd into it =eihter doesn't go in or bent pin

i don't want the latter obviously

but i cant switch the cable, it is one way (it has a closed box in hte cable so that it can only fit in one way)

but the LED is always on like you said

i jsut rebuilt my old pc to clean it out and figure out how it worked and such. I put everything bakck together with a nice clean fan and i moved teh cd drive down a bay so tht the ide cable didn't have to travel is far, but after reconnecting everything, (removed to redundan tscrews making it hard ...

but htat doesn't work if you have limited system resources ie. 64 mb or less ram ( i had exactly 64 mb an dit wouldn't run)

I dont know how to tell the difference, but the one i have in my old piece of crap is about 2.5 times as big as my ethrnet card i just installed, and ou can see tubes on it

IT doesn't oo like it includes a hard drive, or be very upgradeable as it has very lmited space

if you are using a usb mouse and keyboard

USB mice and keyboards need some special preperations

try using a PS/2 mouse or keyboard until you can set it to eneable teh USb

For the swap file if it is a hard drive partition type 83 it should automatically be detected and used by puppy

And as for mounting an iso, the only way i know to do that is in windows using a program called alcohol

SUCCESS I succesfully installed puppy and now have grub in teh MBR so i can start up without a cd or anything YAY thanks for all of your help, i am diconnecting this pc from teh internet right now and am hooking up the puppy one to get some .pups and to customize it agian thanks for all of your help
