The best way to add the bloatware is to make it available as a separate .SFS file. Keep the original ISO clean and crap-free. Now where is synth to optimize this puppy? :D He has done an excellent job with Turbopup Xtreme (extremely low latency without needing a real-time kernel). If we could incorp...

I got choppy videos in a quad core computer, that's a fail not just bad performance. Actually in my case because I've set the ondemand governor for the cpu, the cpu never went over 800MHz which is the slowest it can run. Obviously also it needs more cpu power for the same video compared to flash. 8...

I am trying to get the pSX emulator (http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/) to work. I got past the missing libgl.so by installing mesa, but now I am missing libgtkglext-x11-1.0.so.0. Athlon II (Phenom II) and Puppy - wrong OS, wrong cpu. Compact, lightweight, fast liveCD OS es are, or should be, designed to run on a Cx300, for example. 99.999^.% of the world's PC users don't have and don't want the latest go-faster stripes complete with bragging rights. BSNES is slooooowww
BSNES runs 90% of the games fullspeed (60fps) on an AthlonXP 2600+ box (a 7~8 year old PC). It even runs Yoshi's Island (a SuperFX2 game) at over 50fps. Is that slow for you?

It's amazingly fast for the accuracy this emulator provides (much more accurate than MAME)

I don't recommend using Flash 10.1 on Linux. It's way too slow compared to 10.0. Even 360p YouTube videos are barely watchable with the new version. It's a bloody CPU hog. Don't use Flash 10.1 even under Windows if you don't have a DirectX 10.1 graphics card that supports HW flash acceleration to of...

Is it possible to enable the power/clock management (Cool'n'Quiet) feature for AMD K10 processors (Athlon II, Phenom II) in Quirky? Transmission 1.93 and 2.00 beta2 are out.

Now where are the .PET packages?

There are some critical fixes for Puppy users in 1.93:

* Fix slow file preallocation on Unix systems not using ext3/ext4 (NOTE: Puppy uses ext2 by default)
* Fix crash when updating the blocklist when the disk is full
