Hooray!! for ally Suzz,
There are many solutions to the dilemma. If you can use the vps and "re-direct" in htaccess, this can handle moving url addresses to a new server so it's not all bad...takes time
pita....be well suzz

Russoodle, You will be welcome to use my space if you need it...and save money as well. I can take many of your, or should I say, the users (devs) files if they are intact and not contaminated....the ftp account holders will need to confirm this...aka re-upload from clean sources. Your thoughts Suzz...

Sheesh..I hope not. I can handle a backup for the forum if Murga needs it (also tlchost can handle it). There are others that can chip in as well to quell the nasty corruptions. There were some of us that wanted to cull files from Murga...alas it never went anywhere a few years back. It was very dif...

Is 1 year or 2 years the limit....Mark Ulrich may have an issue with that as his old stuff may be useful (and better) today...who is the mode...

Hi mcewanw, Long time no see. Some of the files on http://www.puppylinux.ca/vintage/ have no md5sum attached. When I found the files years ago there were no md5sum.txt files available for some files. I have a request. When someone tests an iso or devx and it's a good working file, would you generate...

I will point the puppylinux.ca/asia domain to a Google server at any time. If anyone thinks the security is at risk...Google will be mostly safe....privacy was gone years ago so don't sweat the small stuff you see... development is more important as this is public anyway..Eric EDIT: For some reason ...

In my days working with corporate america, I've learned one thing about Corporate attorneys, its not about right and wrong. It's about who can afford to last the longest in court. In my day...lawyers are in court to win at all costs..damnation to the other guy. This is the way things work as lawyer...

@jeff-nelson, I'm still wondering if Google will offer a free, small dedicated server for us, the little Puppy users. I will start with admin and pass it to a qualified admin at your request so no worries about that (managed server would be nice as I'm kinda' dumb about the finer points). Barry does...

@Q5sys , Please download all the /vintage stuff I have...and hold it safe!! When I find a good admin or someone that's interested in spending massive amounts of time they can start rebuilding again with the .ca/asia domains. So far it's holding the domains with my old files....maybe a rebirth of .ca...

If all of this is true, then this definitely is a feather in Puppy Linux's hat...congrats to Barry for sure!! Also, if true, and I have a tendency to think that it is true, I wonder if Google would consider high speed server space for our little project. Just a thought. Some people would recoil at t...
