I didn't compile with a switch for ssl for this current .pet I'll recompile the package and put it on my server. would I just want to use ./configure --with-ssl ?
mcalex wrote:excellent. There're few people interested in svn with ssl ... you might want to upload it. :)

FAIL: libfaac0 FAIL: libfaac-dev FAIL: libdrm-intel1 FAIL: libdrm-nouveau1 Finished, but some failures. You need to fix the ab...

Users really should be able to delete their own posts in case of duplicate posting, Then messages like this one could be avoided.

I'm glad you are happy with Wolf Pup Linux, and shutting firefox down when updating was not by design. Where did you get the package? or was it a pre-installed package? in any case you can get Firefox 3 from http://www.puppylinux.ca/bugs/ I've used it with both WPL 1 & 2.. If you have any proble...

Has anyone had any problems with some applications not displaying the fonts but just boxes? It would be helpful if anyone could share a fix to this. I tried copying all my XP fonts into .wine/drive_c/Windows/Fonts/ to see if that would help. and nothing.

Some further messing about with media players - have settled on Mplayer after some trials with it, XMMS, and Gxine. My needs are fairly simple - play music files in WMA and MP3 formats stored on a portable hard drive and run the odd DVD movie using a portable slim DVD drive. Now, if I can get Wine ...

Re: Media Players

I might go ahead and try mplayer - gxine has not been all that reliable or usable when trying to play a DVD. My real preference would be Amarok but that requires the full KDE desktop which would defeat the whole purpose of using something like Wolf Pup. Another media player that I've had good resul...

Re: Media Player for Wolf Pup

One necessity for me in any set up is a good media player - I'm thinking of using XMMS with Wolf Pup and other than the basic .pet package from the Puppy repository are there any other packages, libraries, etc. that would need to be added to make it work? Thanks in advance for any input. I'm not to...
