Impliment a terminal/gui method for downloading from repo

Installed 2.17. How to add it to Ubuntu's menu.lst file?

I just installed Puppy 2.17 on my second hard drive. When it tried to add the boot info to the menu.lst file for ubuntu, it couldnt. I need the info to manually add it to my menu.lst file. Here is my menu.lst file in pastebin: http://pastebin.com/f67fffc9 .

I believe that if you want to make a new puplet that you use 2.17, its much more mature, and i heard that work on Puppy 3 was suspended indefinably, idk if that is true.

How to transfer Puppy 2.17 to new hd?

Ok, i am going to transfer my current installation of Puppy from my old 1GB Western Digital Caviar hard drive (which is failing) to a 5GB ext2 partition on another hd. Would this kill my puppy or would it still be the same? On the other partition i am running Ubuntu.
