How to turn off DMA when booting Puppy? (Solved)

I got a problem booting PUPPY on an old DELL Notebook (Latitude CPi);
it seems, the harddisk is not accessible via DMA. Is there a means to give a cheatcode like "nodma" in KNOPPIX ?
