Hi Diamond

have you read http://puppylinux.org/wikka/XdeltA ? That has a pretty good explanation (I hope... I wrote it :D )

The section titled To upgrade an old ISO file with a delta file to make the new ISO file is what you need.

Let us know how it goes.

BitTorrent is P2P and is subject to blocking or throttling in some locations. I suppose that pirate-speak may be hindering communication, but I never meant to insinuate that BitTorrent was not P2P. My italics were meant to emphasize thaty I was conceding the point that BT was P2P... damned text-onl...

<pirate> BitTorrent and/or Metalinks should be the way all our packages are presented. (emphasis mine) Thus preventin' them o' us in locations 'ere P2P connections be restricted (or outright banned in th' case o' me college) from enjoyin' this great distro. I think that metalinks might be a problem...

Note2, don't forget that the servage account for puppylinux.org is paid-up until about 2013. We have it for a long time, so should keep using it for something. My suggestion: turn it into a repo for ISOs, SFSs, big dotpups/dotpets, manuals... but NOT an http/ftp repo . Make it a BitTorrent "se...

well you can look at it 2 ways, Excellent for john but maybe not so excellent for Erics servers, Eric has had problems in the past with Hacao and massive downloads that the servers couldn't handle. Thats the reason why I never put any of mine on Distro watch. My server was suppose to be unlimited b...

hi puppyluv,

could you post the exact download link/s that didn't work for you? maybe I can troubleshoot them.

also, have you tried metalinks? they can get the file from several different sources, so you're not relying on only one mirror.

hmm... just tried Tom's link for testing out the TinyMCE wiki editor
  • the text formatting worked fine in the editing window (Headings, font changes, indents etc)
  • but no formatting applied in the Preview
  • and no formatting applied in the final result
