Re: Wanted : Classmate
You could easily get OLPC XO from eBay: ( http://search.ebay.com/olpc-xo ) .... Thanks for the suggestion. I had not thought about it because usually US online vendors would not ship to where I am (ie Mauritius). I've checked your link and have asked sellers whether they's ship worldwide. I'm still...

Wanted : Classmate
Hi, I like to fiddle around with "gadgets", Puppy Linux and any distro of Linux in general (but I'm no hacker/geek/ or whatever). I have tried a couple of eBoxes up to now and would like to get my hands a Classmate, an eee and a OLPC/XO. The problem for me is that I'm in Mauritius, Indian ...

Re: ebox 2300 LAN chip not detected (SOLVED)
Paul, thank you for your instructions. The LAN chip was not being detected because the settings that had been saved on the USB pendrive were those of my laptop. So I did a fresh install on a CF, and I'm using my ebox2300 with eboxpup right now... Installing to CF and getting it to boot should have b...

ebox 2300 LAN chip not detected
hi,
I've been testing my eBox-2300, booting from a USB-pen drive.
The main problem up to now is that the ethernet chipset is not detected.
Anyone can help, please ?
tnx.

ebox 3850 heatingup
hi all, I've tested an ebox 3850 during the weekend. Booted eboxpup from usb pendrive. Everything works fine except that I'm worrying because the casing heats up a lot. It is as if the casing has been designed to function as a heatsink !!! I had planned to add a HDD to the ebox3850, but if it heats ...

ebox
hi all,
I found the lowest price for ebox at http://www.compactpc.com.tw, but :
1. shipping and handling can be quite high depending on where you are;
2. payment by telegraphic transfer to be made in advance; and
3. 1+ month for your order to be ready.
