The gksudo in ubuntu doesn't seem to be necessary. I just used sudo, and that works. e.g.

Are you aware that FreshClam selection in your first post does NOT work? Hope this helps Since your running Puppy 528 I can't guarantee that the Pet compiled for 431 will work with your version.
