Hi everyone,
I have installed flSynclient.
Works well, but though I save them, settings are not restored after a reboot, or even a X restart.

Hi everyone, I have tried L64 5.12 on my laptop. I like it because it is almost the only pupplet I can connect to the internet with (wifi chipset ralink 2500). Problems I have are: - CPU load does not fall below 20% doing nothing. - Touchpad moves are desperately slow. Any idea ? Thanks for your ans...

Re: /etc/rc.d/rc.network

While investigating on my own problem of connection at boot, I have found following code in /etc/rc.d/rc.network [...] but in lucid puppy 5.1, the corresponding module is no more "bcm43xx", but "b43". I know because the wifi chipset in my laptop is this one. Maybe rc.network sho...

Agree with DAVES, printing is the best so far AND Wifi is very reliable as well -- and it remembers settings from boot to boot. How can you generalize your case in such a way ? In the same manner, I would say "it never remembers settings from boot to boot", because, as I have already repo...

@ArnaudN, i don't guess this is a solution for lupu in general (although i agree with iguleder and would vote for taking out pwireless and putting this in) try pwireless2. when i have trouble with the others this always works for me. just a solution for your specific situation :D you may have to re...

Re: wifi connection at boot

I reported some days ago on lupu 503 a problem with the wifi connection at boot (a properly set connection is not restaured at the next boot from CD, though the pupsave is well loaded). This problem still exists on 507. Anyone to look at that :?: Which tool do you use to connect? if you have a trou...

Hi, With lupu-503, I have a problem of connection not restarting at boot. I have setup my wifi connection at very first start and confirmed I wanted to save the configuration at next boot. It worked well: I could load firefox and the nvidia drivers. I loaded the wallpaper I like and switched to icew...

Strange benchmark results

Hi everyone, I've just bought what I think could be a wonderful puppy machine: a refurbished HP nc4000 (pentium M 1.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB hard disk, 12" monitor). I wanted to compare perfs with another laptop: a compaq presario R3000 (AMD Athlon64 3500+, 1.256 GB RAM, 100 GB hard disk), so I...

Installed pet go to the pup_save file.
As you don't have one (you booted with pfix=ram) thos pet's can't be installed. You should first shutdown and make a pup_save file and reboot.
OK, that's what I missed. I remember this could be possible in previous versions.
Thx Béèm, sorry for the noise.
