Can I use Grafpup to format a HDD from a Mac

I took out a 40gb HDD from my mac. It still has infomation and 4 partions (these are not important and I wouldnt mind loosing all the infomation on it). Could I use Grafpup to reformat the hard drive? Or should I get a special software or what could I do?

I tried the puppy pfix=ram. I said "could not find kernel image: pfix=ram"
Could it be possible that there are some setting that are wrong in my computers BIOS or something? Becaouse I ran the puppy on my friends computer just a few hours ago.
