Geoffey has made two versions of a flash updater that work for mozilla browsers. Not sure about chrome being done automatcally though,
They are available at http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... =781766859
Hope that helps.

I had win 7 on my pc mainly for some games that required windows. After getting the upgrade offer, I downloaded both the 32 and 64 bit iso's. I waited till the win10 notice said I could update and allowed it to proceed. My desktop icons and wallpaper came up the same as I had them on win 7 and my po...

I have an Asus 900A eepc and got tired quickly of the OS that it comes with and it's inability to keep that OS updated due to old broken update links. I went a different route though. I had a 8gig USB stick that I had previously installed Bluepup version 4 on and figured I would give it a try. After...

I recently acquired a Asus 900A EEEpc and restored the original software on it after getting a number of errors. But it still had problems as the Check for Updates software did not work. A update of that was available. But would error out in trying to download with the site not being found. Anyway, ...

I have an older Direct TV recorder and am really curious as to the format and contents of the hard drive in it. I am not brave enough to disassemble it since it is a working recorder. But currently, I only have the option to save recorded shows to VHS tapes and would have liked to copy to a digital ...

rockytnji, Thank you also from one in Oregon. I missed the preview and even though I can get USA Network, this gives me the option to view it when I want to. I may set up my recorder to try getting the whole series recorded. I have never known how or tried to save TV shows to mp4 files. What does on...

I have read pros and cons about the effect on hardware as to shutting down and restarting vs on all the time. Some say that shutting down and restarting is harder on the hardware. But I shut my computer down when I am not using it and sometimes as a result, the scheduled events Windows wants to do i...

The version of Unicorn Puppy I am using was compiled by Barry K and VLC was included in it. So I would have assumed that Barry compiled VLC for that flavor. As to the WEB extension on the file that was downloaded using GTK_Youtube_Viewer and I had added it. I am unsure of what type of file a WEB fil...

I have Puppy Unicorn as a full install on a 30gig USB hard drive. Recently, I went to play a children's video 1.5 hours in length that had a web extension. VLC started to play it and about half way through, VLC shut down and icons started disappearing from the desktop as well as the 29gigs of free s...

Evidently, those keys work on proximity to the switch. When I got a used PT-Cruiser, I went out and had a regular key make that did not have the electronics. It would start the car and then the car would shut down shortly thereafter. But after getting a key with the electronics, I tried using the on...

After further searching, I found that the mixture that makes up gasohol is not stable and the components of it will separate after a period of time. fuel line disolving
I have a field mower. After the first initial use of it, the fuel line started to soften and dissolve to where pieces of it were plugging up the carburetor. The first time, the mower was under warranty and a fuel shutoff was added. But the fuel line problem persisted. I replaced it with a new one th...

I have read articles on use of those boards in the building of expansion hardware for old computers. An example would be a hard drive interface for an old computer that was never made to have a hard drive. Also, a USB connected chip programmer it seems was a project. So can you give us an idea of wh...
