Fantastic! Thank you. As someone new to Puppy, I didn't realize you were the creator of of PeasyPort. What a great utility! I will try the new version when I get home from work. Also, I noticed you are from Stratford Ontario. Love, love love that area (Niagara-on-the Lake, the wineries, and of cours...

To be honest, it was such a frustrating exercise that I gave it a rest for a while. This morning, in trying to answer your Peasyport question, I ran it again and lo! it gave me the printer ip for the first time in a week. I plugged it into the CUPS socket: and remote printing is back...for now at le...

The nmap command came from a google search on how to find the printer port IP. The printer when connected to the laptop's USB prints. When wireless it was connected via CUPS socke://printerIP:9100 and it printed. Now it doesn't because the Printer IP has disappeared and I can't seem to get it back. ...

Pantum P2500W Wireless Printer
With the help of some incredibly patient forum members I got the printer to work both wired and wirelessly. Two days ago it stopped printing wirelessly. Original thread here: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=113318&start=15 Initially, I found the printer ip using easyport (192.168.0....

Is this what you're looking for? Close, but no. Fire TV is Amazon’s better answer to Google’s chromecast and works differently. An UPNP/DLNA app on the Fire TV acts as a receiver to the casting source of Ios, Android, Windows, Linux etc. You can right click any chrome/chromium page and click the ca...

How to cast to Fire TV from Chromium in Xenialpup?
Is anyone casting to Fire TV from Chromium using Puppy? As an enthusiastic new convert to Puppy (Xenialpup 7.5 64bit), I've got it mostly configured to my liking except for one or two things. I get the"no cast destinations found" warning. Linux Mint casts right out of the box without any t...

Thank you. My goal is to have a bash file that can be triggered by a keyboard shortcut or a mouse gesture and depending on which of the browser's tabs is active, will send specific keys eg name and/or pwd or other action to that particular page. I tested the following... #!/bin/sh url1=$(xdotool sea...

Bash If...then syntax driving me nuts!
Been working on this for hours, googling and googling but no pleasure. #!bin/bin/sh url1-$(xdotool search --name "yahoo.com") echo $url1 if [[$url1 == "39845889"]]; then xdotool windowactivate 39845889 In terminal, echo shows the correct number with the following error: "[[3...
