I had the same problem on a other computer. Puppy loads 2570 instead of 73. to change this you can to etc/rc.d/rc.modules2 and there you can change this.

Sorry, You're right.
RAM = 64mb
In xorg i checked and apparently the driver is detected ok (as silicon motion - SM910) Looks OK to me.
Xvesa shows black screen and doesn't work at all

Yes it's exactly what i was hoping for to get as a reply . I just wasn't sure if something like that would work and which files i'd have to edit. If i only have to edit the fstab then it should go ok.

IT hangs EXACTLY when it 'logs into' X.
