When I installed Dpup it didn’t ask me to create a user and just put me as root. Now after being told and doing some more reading that for safety I really should create a user instead of using root. How to run as user in Dpup? (Not as root)

How to use H-P Deskjet 3050 scanner in Dpup? (Solved)
I’m running Dpup 32bit. My printer is an all in one HP Deskjet 3050 and I have the print functioning just fine just I can’t figure out how to get the scanner part working. When I tried the one program (can’t remember how to spell the name) it says no scanner detected.
