How to hide user ID and location while on the 'net?

Dear Puppylanders...

How would I make lets say Fatdog64 into something near Tails?

Or said another way. How can I set up Puppy so the user can surf the net and use videochat, but yet remain unidentified and not backtracable?

I guess Tor or VPN is the solution?

Very open for advice...

USB and "false positive"...

When you transfer files to a USB in Fatdog, it shows the transfer to be done, despite not being done. This causes failure for users. I got a USB with a led and that led is on like twice as long as the Operating Systems little windows showing the transfer.

Said Randsomeware for Linux/Grub... Grub4dos?

And how does Puppy come out of this said randsomware that is said to affect also Linux? That if its even true. Then I think about Grub4dos. Security trough obscurity? Did the old dirty Grub4dos make Puppy "bulletproof" in this round? http://www.welivesecurity.com/2017/01/05/killdisk-now-ta...

So assuming this reply was for me Dancytron...

What is the most "bar bone" version of them all?

And what is the bigger benefit of having the UEFI in a 32 bits OS?

Never seen Firefox start so fast ever ever...

What the trick?

And might there be a "bare bone" version of this that one can build and then remaster as its so easy? Without the personal preferences on programs as seen now?

Rerwin...

Would it not be better to name the new version 2017, instead of the "last year stuff" 2016? Just come up with anything that postpones the release...

Henry Ford would die again in his grave if someone launched the Ford XX 2016 in December 2016. Just sayin'

Just mentioning that the name of this distro may get a "association" facelift. You now cars like Tesla makes it sound great due to stealing the name Tesal... Here comes the car LUCID https://lucidmotors.com/car Hooking up a bit for what i believe will be Lucid 2017 ;-), might need just a l...

You are totally correct SRF... That did it.. But just out of curiosity... Its not the first time I do this. When i upgrade to latest Fatdog, I never keep the savefile as I always think that its good with a fresh start. So what strikes me is that this never happen before in my usage of fatdog. And I ...

TEMP SOLVED... The immediate workaround was to open the files, in this case PDF, from the former Fatdog(sda6) file system in the PDF viewer, and then save a copy to the new Fatdog in SPOT. Then I could upload the PDF as attachment. I am still looking into what is what concerning this ***************...

I am not sure if its needed with two Gimp entries in Graphics?

Same as the earlier mentioned Engrampa.

Great to see a new team member. Not that he is not been really a contributor for some time as seen in the forum.
