this small script can be used to set brighness or gamma of a tablet screen, and to activate/deactivate shadows using compton. It displays a simple xmessage dialog. If wbar is installed, it will be stopped and restarted as I encountered strange behaviour with wbar without this step. #!/bin/bash sleep...

I installed it on another Tablet, a Medion P2214T, it uses the Baytrail Celeron N2940 processor that supports 4 GB of RAM. Same method with the 32bit Efi as above. It had problems first to authentificate on my wlan network, so I added an external Wifi stick. After two reboots now both wifi devices w...

I used Puppy (precise) until some months ago as my main system, just had no time to be active any longer. Work as application manager for united internet now, have a girlfriend who lives in germany but wit...

Thanks for this great puplet :) I have some Intel baytrail devices. They require a 64bit system, but a 32bit Grub bootloader. There is a patched Ubuntu with such a loader (google for Linuxium). I took the grub files and packaged them. You can simply copy them to the stick on which you installed the ...

Gr...

my new mobile computer (raspberry) ;-)
lol, it is more just a proof of concept. Outside, I prefer my tablet ;) It is a Raspberry Pi running Puppy. You might prefer model A for this purpose, it consumes 1/3 less energy, but has just 256 MB Ram and no ethernet. Price is about 30 Euro + 6 Euro for a case, and 5 Euro for a SD-Card. Attached ...

Headfound, yes, she actually does. But try it yourself: the lens is heavy, and the letters look distorted. Myself I prefer to move around a small box containing a camera, with a plain image on the monitor. And the zoomfactor is higher. On a 22'' Monitor, a 1 Eurocent coin has the size of up to 7 of ...

success, after some tweaks :) kernel.img, /lib/modules and /opt/vc from https://github.com/Hexxeh/rpi-firmware copied to zap6. To download, I used my Desktop-computer running fluppy013 with devx: mkdir /root/git cd /root/git git clone http://github.com/Hexxeh/rpi-firmware.git . --depth=1 zipped /mod...

Nice work Mick! Will check it out, as in Sap6 (Squeeze) my Logitech 910 UVC webcam is not working. Maybe it will in Zap6, as it works in Rhaspian Wheezy. Will compile luvcview to check it. I just checked that Puppybrowser is working fine: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=694321#694321 Mark

I uploaded version 0.6, this is a pet containing binaries for puppy-sap (the puppy for the Raspberry Pi). The sourcecode is included, too. it can be compiled with: cd /usr/local/PuppyBrowser ./compile I made some changes to the sourcecode, so that it can be compiled in Vala 0.12. The funcionality is...
