Thanks 01micko! Re: The Lxterminal icon: I tried deleting everything including the local-repository folder and rebuilding, and still it doesn't show the icon in the menu for some reason, though strangely uninstalling it and installing it from ppm fixes it. I included an updated iso if anyone wants t...

Thanks everyone. I tried another build with the latest woof-CE testing branch today, this time selecting Slacko64 14.2 http://www.mediafire.com/folder/04k8b8812ccoh/x86_64 For reference, some of the missing icons I noticed so far in this one include: - Menu->Utility LXTerminal (it works if you chang...

I tried building a vanilla slacko 5.8.10 woof-CE iso today and uploaded it here: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/p7599c75b8l19/5.8CE It's missing a few icons, a few things don't work (like x-virtual keyboard), and doesn't include a browser by default, but might be useful or interesting to someone. I...

Thanks 6502coder. There is a new version in woof-CE called 5.8.10, I have been experimenting with it a bit but a few icons keep disappearing on me or turning black and the OpenWith has two entries for a few programs (like for UExtract) so I have held off continuing to upload 5.8CE isos here for now....

Hi 8Geee, Thanks for the info. I tried to compile kernel 3.16.70 and it worked, but complained about some aufs patches not existing any more, so haven't taken the chance with it yet. Maybe I'll try again as 3.16.71 just came out (might not be a real problem anyway), but interestingly 3.18 is still b...

BusterPup 8.0 beta-1 Frugal install on USB hard drive Save folder. Menu>Desktop>pupX set properties of X Opens to Screen Saver Settings. Nothing else. I think this is true in any woof-CE build now. The screensaver part was the only one I ever used though (I don't even remember what the other tabs w...

Re: Dpup Buster K3.18.138
Have this booting on my machine would like to see how it goes on others. Basically the beautiful dpup buster 7.9.0.2 with kernel kernel 3.18.138 it has a basic save file to make it boot this kernel and contains the original kernel files if you wish to roll back to the series 4 kernel. I would like ...

Thanks 6502coder and 8Geee for the ongoing feedback and reports. I'm glad it's not just me playing around with those newer woof-CE builds. :) Thanks also to mikeslr for the Slacko 5.7.2 Community Edition , it looks like an interesting project! jwm is not behaving gtk2 themes are default only as such...

Hi Bigpub, First of thanks for the answer but I did not mean that. The fact that the whole OS is still in the beta, come even more updates. But since I do not want to download the latest version again and again, it would be quite easy to offer a text file of the packages (e.g. dpkg -l) for download...

I noticed a couple of weird things, though: -- I had to pluck the executable gtk_chtheme off another Pup. Slacko-700 does not have it. Slacko 700 has the wrapper but not the exec; Hi musher0, I believe, starting with Slacko 6.3, everything was moved to Menu -> Desktop -> Puppy Theme Manager, and th...

Hi musher0, Merry Christmas to you too! :D It has been a while since I tried to woof slacko32 14.2, it seems the iso I had is exactly one years old  Both my Atom Netbooks are running woofed Slacko 14.0 builds but am at my parents now for Christmas with my dad's 64-bit capable Core2Duo.
