I am not sure if I am posting this in the correct forum but after looking the forums over I decided this was the best fist. I know I am by far from cutting edge when it comes to my Linux app. I have Puppy 2.13 installed and it has troubles when running the USBviewer. It asks me to make sure I have t...

I too can add that Gparted would not work from it's own ISO burnt cd but within Puppy and it's environment, it runs flawlessly.

First day hanging out with my new Puppy

I rather like Puppy and it will take some time getting use to but I can understand it much better now. I had troubles running from CD as my cdrom drive is problematic. On the HD it is much better. It blew my mind last night when trying to find files as every time from the CD I would use Rox and befo...

WhoDo

Thanks, I have 200mb partition devoted to Windows that I may get rid of.

For now I set up Puppy with 500 and I have an 84 mb swap, it may be a bit small.

Plus when I use MUT, it says that the swap if OFF....?

TIA

All is resolved!

I deleted the old partitions and added a new partition and installed 2.13

After about six unsuccessful attempts, I got it going.

Now I need to add the ndis wrapper and connect a usb card and it should be good.

I have 2.13 cd up and running which is a feat in itself, the cdrom drive is works about 5% of the time.

Anyways, I am ready to delete partitions and assign new ones.

Any tips on size and file types would be greatly appreaciated.

TIA

I too have a Gateway solo, mine is a 2100 that my dad use to have. As for specs, it has 48 mb of ram, 120 processor speed, and an 800mb HD. I am trying to add 2.13 after having problems with installing 2.10. I have some partitions I need to remove with Gparted. The Windows partition is locked in Gpa...

I have downloaded version 2.13 and am installing it now, at least it is loading from live cd. I was going to remove the prior partitions and install new but it appears to be replacing the old version on hard drive although I did not think it would do this from the CD before Puppy was loaded. Any adv...

Install problems Gateway laptop Error 15 resolved

I have been having major pains with installing Puppy. All of which is no doubt my fault as Linux still boggles my mind. What I have is an old Gateway laptop that has a 120 processor with 48 mb of ram. I will be quite content if I can just check email and a few other minor things like surfing. My fir...
