while trying wary 5.1.1, the keyboard (ps/2) disconnects at the beginning of the boot-up process; further input is impossible.
(on the same computer puppy 4.3.1 works fine).

the problem reappears (sometimes)
I am using the "acpi=on/force/strict" trick for a few days now. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Until now I did not find out what is the difference between sessions that shutdown properly and sessions which don't.

shutdown and reboot
I found out that the problem I described yesterday has a very simple solution: delete the /pup_save.2fs file in Windows XP and reboot from the Puppy Live CD.
