I am trying to run windows98 in Puppy using QEMU. The thing is I can't access CD-Rom after booting from it. I mean I can boot up from CD-rom, but installation files are in different folder on that CD. I have read that it's possible to mount the image file, but each time I try this I'm getting error ...

did not notice that yet. Maybe a problem with your graficsdriver or memory. You could try to install with 3DCC enhanced drivers. Or choose another color-depth. In /etc/X11/xorg.conf replace 24 with 16. And try to create a swap-partition with gparted, if you have none. 500 MB should be more than eno...

Thanks, Mark. The Droparea applet is really COOL! The only problem (I don't know the reason why) is that all of the sudden all stuff on the desktop disappear and I have to restart X again. It happens quite often. I noticed one time it was while using mplayer and trying to open SHOUT cast in Streamtu...

xwin starticewm Mark Thank you, Mark. 1. Now I'm wondering how to remove from the system tray applications: Droparea, expose2now. I'm not sure if I will ever use them and what they are for. They appear in jwm too. 2. Is it possible (and how) to delete the upper tray and move the icedock applet into...

Please, help to start Muppy !
Hey, guys!
Muppy really rocks. I got into trouble: I wanted to try jwm window manager, so I ran: xwin jwm. Now how can I go back to initial boot with icewm. When I type xwin icewm there is no icedock and other stuff as it was before.
Thanks!

Seamonkey crashes when trying to watch video
Hi,
Seamonkey crashes each time when trying to watch some types of video on the internet. Is it because corresponding codec not present or plug-in not specified ? I have Real Player installed, but how to use it in this situation? I'm using 2.11 with Xine player.
Thanks.

Re: How to write in Bulgarian and easy switch to US
Dear friends, I'm looking for some help make my keyboard write in Bulgarian. I already translated the menu in Bulgarian (http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=7165), localized Abiword, Firefox... I tryed many methods like changing xorg.conf file, installing all the UTF8 pupgets, looking ...

Re: Bulgarian .lng file ready!

I tryed to organize the file a little bit for easy edit. It could be used for another translations. I'll try to refresh the file in case of a new Puppy...

New Puppy Fan, when you say that cdrom boot isn't possible, is that due to no bios support for cdrom boot, or that there's no cdrom drive. because i thought i'd mention that if it's the first option, you could save yourself some effort by giving the smartbootmanager floppy a try, as it can often bo...

How to split a file in Linux?
Hi,
I will be very grateful if someone could help me with this situation. I need to split one file xxxxxxxxx.img by size of 1.4M to fit on a floppy. It will be 2, 3 or more floppies. Is there any command in Linux available for that?
Thanks again!
