How to edit video with ProjectX?
Hi guys, I am trying to edit a video file, retrieved from my PVR, with projectx.(0.90.4.00 30.03.2006) The gui is obtuse to say the least and although I have figured how to set a cut point, I just cant figure out how to select the bit I want to keep, or delete the bit (which is the over-run to the n...

Thanks for that Gary. I believe that projectx can be used for remuxing but I cant find any help or howto's for it. If anyone knows of a good set of instructions for project x, that would be great, or if not, could anyone walk me through the process of remuxing with it? I cant make any sense of the g...

Hi Gary, I am currently transferring stuff off my thompson dvr 40 gb hdd. It comes off as either a .pes or as two files, m2v and mp2. I have been struggling with re-muxing to mpeg2 for days now. Thanks to your post, I now have projectx running but I can't make head or tail of it  . I tried rem...

Thanks David, I also noticed the dingo alpha I tried had both cores running, forget which one it was now, but there were other issues which made it un-usable on my lappy. It did run my bcmxxx wireless card out of the box though, with a signal strength of 95% (!!!) when I usually only manage 55-60% w...

Thanks kirk, I reinstalled gslapt and it has now appeared in the menu. Starting kde, I get: Could not start kstartupconfig Check your installation. Googling this revealed people with problems related to /user/home directories. As my flash install puppy 3 does not have a home directory, I am a bit st...

Yes, if we can get some folks with high-speed connections to play with it, we'll get it worked out. Hi kirk, I intend to do a fair bit of downloading to try kde and some kde apps. I have gslapt working but have to run from the terminal. No entry in menu. Also I have to update each time as when it o...

My Dell 6400 is very similar to the vostro and works well. 3945 Wifi is fine, it works better in linux than in windoze. Mine has integrated video so dont know about the nvidia card. Would be interested to know, as I may upgrade, but I fancy the AMD version and would really be swayed if it came witho...

somebody let me know if they ever get linux working. Scott :x Scott, Have you tried PClinuxOS? This has worked very well for me on both my main 'puters, a newish dell lappy and an oldish athlon box. Everything works except my ancient scanner, and I will probably get a new one or an all in one that ...

Lobster, I tried that in pc world and was told it was against company policy......... Chris, I have been running puppy since 2.13 on my Dell inspiron 6400. Although it only runs on one CPU core, it is way faster than windows xp using both cores. I adopted puppy because at the time, it was the only d...

Re: TEENpup and future TEENpup's (Expected Releases)
I am always searching for new Apps that may find their way into the next version of TEENpup. Were possible I will try and use the lastest version of Puppy as a base for TEENpup. Hi John, the new puppy kernel would enhance TEENpup. I now have a working internal card reader, for my SD cards anyway. (...
