In 68.0.x esr and onwards, the option "Never update Firefox" has been removed from Preferences, just as predicted upthread by Barkin. So in order to prevent the new update nag screen, first ensure the "check for updates but let you choose to install them" box is ticked, then go t...

@ Lunos

(Guidance on that page should be self-explanatory )

When done, click "OK"

No, hang on to the "base" iso, i.e. precise-light-5.7.1+0.iso, and keep it somewhere secure because you'll need it to merge with (generate) the next delta update, if and when one's released. Can't see any reason to keep the others except, of course, the one currently in use. Regarding your...

Hello bythos, There's absolutely no risk of "breaking your system" if you back up your save file (or folder) to a secure location before performing any experimental changes on it, or installing a new program about which you may have doubts. Only takes a few seconds and there'll almost cert...

What is Firefox giving you that Pale Moon will not? Simple answer, bigpup... add-ons! For me specifically, Video DownloadHelper ; the "legacy" version which installs in Palemoon is so old as to be useless (same result with many others!) That's the reason I've sadly not been able to use Pa...

Hello escape, Guessing your USB flash drive is formatted to "fat32" filesystem, which has a 4GB file upper size limit, which would explain your problem? If so, personally I'd back up my save file and all personal data to a secure location, then start over by reformatting the drive in gpart...

Add the offending site 127.0.0.1 redstag.tk to your "/etc/hosts" file? ( Must only be added somewhere beneath the top "127.0.0.1 localhost" line, of course) You'll still have to close the resulting blank tab and click on "Abrir Enlace" a second time, to reach the video ...

@ nubc Boot up a "virgin" copy of Precise 5.71. You can do this either by booting from a CD in RAM mode or, if you haven't got a CD drive, by simply opening up your "menu.lst" file in geany & appending pfix=ram to the second line (the one beginning with "kernel /Precise_...

@ nubc There's also a (more recent?) "ffmpeg-3.2.2-32bit-static.pet", built by rockedge and available from him via the first post in this thread . All needed dependencies are downloaded during the installation and it worked for me OOTB in both Tahr 6.0 and in Mikeslr's wonderful Tahr 6.06....
