It must have been a couple of months or so ago testing out 2.14 as I have been using the puppy 2.13 lite hd frugal version more recently. I usually just copy the INITRD, VMLINUZ, .sfs files to my hd and boot from there but have booted from the live cd for a few days to see what it's like (only when ...

Make a dvd read only?

I always put my albums on a dvd-rw to save on having to swap discs, thing is though one of my dvd's full of mp3's has been overwritten by puppy 2.14. I have no idea how as I have always used nero in windows and wont let you burn an iso over a data disc without heavy warning which I would notice and ...

peerguardian/moblock will block ip's from many sources who spy on you, mpaa etc. I'd say the majority of people who d/l via torrents use one of these, it does'nt make you 100% safe but i'd rather use it than not. Moblock seems to be the only one available for linux that is updated frequently. I'd li...

Sorry i missed this reply, view new replies only shows 1 page.

I was hoping to find some file applicable to all windows rather than just the examples I mentioned.

Is it more a case of searching .rc's than any specific file?

Fluxbox setting wallpaper

I have tried editing various lines in various files to try and use Puppybackground with Fluxbox without running into problems. It sets the wallpaper but wont remember it when I reboot also the right click menu only flashes up for a split second when clicking rather than staying.

Any ideas?

Nice work indeed.

Help Me Install MoBlock.deb please

I did request this a while ago but no-one has replied.

It is a .deb file but that isn't the only problem.
I have only ever installed via dotpups and know nothing about installing what I require.

Can anyone help?

I dont know what you plan on downloading but you should be using peerguardian for linux or the more maintained moblock for extra security, i have requested a dotpup for moblock but has yet to be fulfilled.

When My Save.sfs is Full?

This may sound thick but what happens when I run out of disc space? The extra programs like opera etc i downloaded will be lost...is that right?
