I have tried the suspbase and susplid options discussed in this forum topic: Laptop sleep function only works properly with Slacko 5.3.3. I have searched thoroughly and find a number of similar problems. It seems the suspbase and susplid options work for some Slacko versions but not others. I am a n...

Don't have this problem any longer. The first time I connected I used the Frisbee method and was having the random disconnects. Then I switched to the Internet Wizard method and no longer have the disconnects. Thanks for offering to help. I'm about to reply to your post to my other issue with my lap...

Suspbase doesn't work on my Dell laptop Inspiron 2200 running Slacko 5.5. When it goes to sleep I have to long-press power button to shutdown and then press power button to re-boot, after which it indicates improper shutdown and goes through some fixes while booting. When I tried the susplid option ...

frequent wireless disconnects
I don't know if this is a bug, but I experience frequent disconnects from my wireless router. I connect fine but then experience random disconnects. Then I reconnect automatically. I'm using Puppy Slacko 5.5.
I've searched the forum without success. Thanks for any ideas.

need to edit xorg.conf file
I'm back again with a variation. When I posted before I was running Puppy Slacko 5.5 windows installer in addition to Windows XP as a dual boot. I decided to wipe the hard drive with Darik Boot and Nuke and use only Puppy. I booted from iso file loaded onto usb jump drive. Booted fine but then the t...

Thanks npierce! That solved the problem. I had a little trouble at first. At my first shutdown yesterday I saved a file as instructed by the on-screen message. That saved some of my own touchpad tweaks through the setup/mouse/keyboard wizard that I tried before finding this forum. When I booted this...
