Can the Puppy firewall wizard be used on other Linux distros

Okay, the Linux Firewall Installer script included in Puppy is, by far, the best, simplest, most powerful and most intuitive Firewall wizard I've ever seen in my days using Linux. I want to put it on ALL my boxes (including the Raspberry Pi.) What would it take to get that amazing piece of software ...

I reboot into Windows every time I want to play Call of Duty or Minecraft. Other than that, I'm running Puppy 80% of the time and Ubuntu 20% of the time. (Yes, I know Minecraft supposedly works on Linux, but I have a Radeon HD 4350, and I haven't gotten it working on any Linux distro... I can't unpa...

How to arrange Grub2 to boot frugal Slacko, XP and Ubuntu?

Okay, I have a triple-boot going: Win XP Pro on /dev/sda1 Ubuntu 12.04 on /dev/sda7 (I know this sound weird): Puppy Slacko 5.5 FRUGAL on a dedicated EXT4 partition - /dev/sda7 vmlinuz and initrd.gz are both stored on / in sda7 (not a subfolder.) What do I need to set the Puppy menu entry to for Gru...

How to install Java browser plugin in Chromium? [SOLVED] :D

I've installed the Java JRE from Java.com; it's now residing in /usr/java/jre1.7.0_17, but what I can't figure out is how to get the browser plugin working. I've already got ~/.mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so symlinked to /usr/java/jre1.7.0_17/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so, but restartin...

Bitcoin client

Okay, here it is, Bitcoin-QT, packaged into a nice, neat Dotpet for your convenience.

I'll probably add a description later, but, for now, you can just read up on it from the Bitcoin wiki page on it: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin-Qt

I'm running Slacko 5.5, and the debian package also returns "No module named wxversion".

I couldn't manage to find the python-wxgtk package in Launchpad. The site isn't organized very intuitively... If you could give me links to what I need to download, that would be very appreciated.

Menus are messed up

Okay, I don't know what I did, but for some reason, the menus no longer have a 2-level hierarchy. For example, GParted used to be located at Menu>System>SomethingOrOther>Gparted, but now it's just Menu>System>GParted. This makes the menus very cluttered, and I can't find out how to reverse this beha...

256 Downloads!

Well, as March 12th, I've reached 256 downloads for the Dotpet version! (that doesn't even include the SFS downloads!)

Also, version 27 appears to be more popular than the original v26 release, about 33% more for the Dotpet, and 400% more for the SFS. :D

The errors don't matter (imo.) Chromium was never meant to run as Root (most software isn't,) and in fact, I actually had to specify the user data storage directory, because it just does not want to run as root.
