The bluetooth technology for all that is already available. Connecting wirelessly to all of one's peripheral devices would mean that a person really could just carry a single device for all his computing needs. You go to work, pull out your phone and put it on your desk, type up a document in libre...

This is actually brilliant. Crowd-funding this project means that Shuttleworth goes into production of the phone with full proof of demand for the product. It prevents the sort of FUD the paid-off pundits spread about Linux on the desktop. And it gets Linux's foot in the door on the mobile phone pla...

As greengeek said in the other thread you posted in, please post a full screenshot with all of the sliders turned up.

Not to say you're lying, but just in case you missed something.

While the Studio 4 kernel is outdated now, it isn't the same as in Lucid. Studio 4 uses a 2.6.33.5-rt25 kernel.

Did you try turning the headphone volume up in retrovol or alsamixer?

PuppyStudio3.3-vanilla.iso No-one should use the "vanilla" prototype. It has serious flaws, and was never meant for public consumption. Having now fired up a copy of the PuppyStudio3.3-rt.iso and looking in the Quickpet , i see that there is a link for kernel sources: kernel_src_L4-2.6.33...

Dude, you can't use the devx from 13.37 - they're based on two different OSes! 3.3 was based on Ubuntu, and 13.37 is based on Slackware!

Microsoft thought it could just force everyone to use its software by making PC vendors include it. Everyone hates Microsoft, and now that they have other options, Microsoft is becoming marginalized, trivialized. Not to mention that they have no vision, no love. Just sweaty old Steve Ballmer jumping...

You know, if you could put XBMC on a Puppy Linux for Android installation on a phone, then you could use this usb-to-hdmi cable to have the full-blown XBMC experience straight from your phone. Such a thing would put the Ubuntu TV interface to shame, and blow the whole "Ubuntu for Android" ...

I know this sounds over-simplistic, but the easy answer is to ditch Ubuntu. Debian is way better than it used to be. It even comes with support for mp3s and common codecs out of the box now, and it comes with GNOME Shell and lots of plugins. Ubuntu isn't that much easier to install anymore. For real...

Sorry about that. It is missing a link in /usr/lib. Download the attached file, extract it, and plunk it in there.

You'll also have to right-click an .exe, choose "Set run action", and change the command at the bottom to

Code: Select all

wine "$@"
Hope that helps.

It's great, it works with JACK (well, mine does), and looks really good with one of the included themes.

Not too many music apps work as well with JACK out-of-the-box as well as this one does.

It's going to be part of the next version of you-know-what. :)
