Have read, but think the GUI FreeFileSync is much easier to set up and use.

I find FreeFileSync a very good alternative to rsync, mostly just some mouse clicks!

Spent almost all day, trying.
The usb stick does not work properly, but works well to keep normal data.
I have 2 other usb sticks (1 and 2 gb) and they work differently.
So, watch out when you buy a new usb stick, that it is compatible with your linux.
