Saluki ACPI

Hi, I'm using Saluki 023 and I want to use it without a save file. When using my desktop, ACPI defaults to power save mode. Does anyone know what file to edit to change it to default to performance or turbo? Then I can just edit the sfs and don't have to keep changing modes at every boot. TIA

Very usefull tool! However, when it recompresses the sfs file is quite a bit larger than the original. The sfs file's I want to edit are compressed with xz, does this app only use gz and if so can it be changed to use xz?

Have been playing with LXpup today and so far so good except Firefox keeps crashing. It's strange because it was working fine for a few hours. Oh, and you can't make a new shortcut on the desktop because lxshortcut is missing. I found an lxshortcut.pet so no big deal. Other than that It seems pretty...

Very nice Jejy, even better than Checkmate!

The only probs I've found is I have to manually set up network and there is a duplicate of 'Network' in 'Setup' menu. Things I can sort out no prob.

I will test more on the weekend but all in all a great job!

Thanks for your hard work!

Here's another good tool for changing the menu. Add, remove and it's easy to change the category.

Other than the menu issues, the GeNome theme has a small issue. When you right click on the clock, one of the window selectors or one of the workspace icons on the panel, the text is the same colour as the background. You can just barely see it when it's highlighted. Oh, and just like Checkmate, ROX...

I've had the .trash-0 folder a few times but have always been able to see deleted items in the trash folder. I just did a few tests, 1- Put fresh CheckMate on a USB drive, booted, played around a bit then deleted an item and emptied the trash. Didn't do a save and no .trash folder. 2- Booted, delete...

Cool, does the same thing but easier, no icon editing! Can this be done after a complete edit of the menu? As in all "Other" category items moved etc...... The "Other" shouldn't be needed after that as all .pet's should go into the right place. Mate specific apps might be a probl...

Sure no problem, there will still be a lot of editing though. The main menu categories will have no icons, there will be some double entries and a few in the wrong category but it is still better than 90% in the Other category. I think Puppy and Mate menu's have some category compatibility issue. So...

Ok, here's a screen shot of Mate with a slightly modded application menu file from CheckMate. I then used the built in menu editor to change icons. Not finished yet but so far so good. Only 10 in the Other category and a few double entries.

Nice job again!!!

I might even like this one better than CheckMate. Hopefully you'll keep at it and work the bugs out.

Just a note, if you install python_plus-2.6.6-i486-s.pet from Slacko repository the menu editor will work!

@Jejy69 about right click context menu

There doesn't seem to be a /~/.local/share/applications

What am talking about is right click of a desktop icon or file in PCManfm, sorry for not being clear. Maybe it's a PCman config file I need to edit.

Nice one! Just a note, a Firefox menu entry wouldn't appear until I restarted X. Maybe this is due to PupMenu, but I can live with that. One thing I would like to fix is the right click context menu still has some typo's ( Texte editor). It's no big deal but if someone could tell me what file to edi...

Jejy69 keep at it. You got a very nice derivative going, probably the best Puppy I've used so far.

Am definitely waiting for the final!

Nice job, keep up the good work!

I would like to move network apps from setup to the main menu, can someone point me to the right way of doing this?

Resize personal storage file is also not working. On reboot I get an error window that X did not shut down properly and an option to ignore or go to command prompt and the file size remains the same.

I'm new to the forum so hi to everyone. Nice job on this, I've tried a few different Puppies like Lupu, Mac, RacyNOP etc...and this is by far my favorite. I've noticed a few issues like some of the right click context menus have 1 listing in french, pNethood and pFind use ROX instead of PCMan and th...
