Re: Lost X input while installing monodevelop-2.8.1
Greetings. i was hoping to get mono installed onto this LH64 final version, and needed monodevelop-2.8.1. There are somethings that just simply dont work well to compile into the very environment you are using. Some things (like lvm), you need to either A) edit your ./configure script or make insta...

Re: LVM in LH64
Hi @Edwardb ... there's the lvm2 dependency ... i think JamesBond did some work with LVM2 on a 64bit platform back in the FATDOG 5.2x days. He may still have the utilities he provided for this somewhere in his arsenal. I seem to remember a PET that addressed dependencies,.... I think . LVM2 is not ...

a2dp and 64-bit puppylinux ?
There appears to be no obvious solutions posted, especially with the 64-bit versions of puppyLinux available. Has anyone made progress in this area? The hardware i'm using is: Jabra BT8010 stereo headset SiW Bluetooth USB "dongle" What would be the basics needed to get this working in: Fat...

BTRFS direct support via GUI apps...
As it stands, any puppy that's running a linux kernel v2.6.30 or greater has (kernel level) access to the btrfs. Obviously, the younger the kernel version, the better the support. And support is there... via CLI. But WHO want's to continue to do it the CLI way? i sure don't... not when a DE is in fr...

Re: btrfs kernels
If you go to my website and the kernels page you will find a set of mage2 kernels of the 3.3 series. They are configured with btrfs and kernel utilities for it turned on. If your going to upgrade from a kernel version 2, you also need to upgrade your aufs package from 2 to 3, the pet is listed. we'...

Okay, we'll need a puppy distro with a desktop to make things much easier and more productive. Examining Lucid pup... + binary-compatible with ubuntu which has support for btrfs + can upgrade kernel to 2.6.39 ( http://bkhome.org/sources/kernel-2.6.39.4/ ) can we push it to 3.1.x? + has devx for comp...

BTR filesystem: getting it running on Puppy
This is a blog-like format for notes and progress with btrfs on puppy-linux. There should be no reason why it cannot access the btrfs. It can inherently be used in single mode, mirror mode, striped mode, and mirrored striped mode. Ultimate goal: like the "new" ext4fs, puppy linux should be...
