where are the linux headers needed for compiling modules? http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/sfs/700/kernel-source-3.18.7.sfs Look at the Fatdog64 Seamonkey home page for instructions about using sfs files. I found this a more useful page: http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/web/ Anyway after installing...

Kernel headers
Running the module complier script for VirtualBox guest extensions, now stuck - where are the linux headers needed for compiling modules? A search using gslapt defaults shows no candidates that I can see.

(I think that's what is happening as there is no info displayed while this takes place, and that could be minutes) Why not write this file earlier in the shutdown process so information could be di...

Hi everyone, Is this the right thread for general support on Carolina? The desktop looks nice and worth keeping but a couple of queries: Firstly how do I update the packages (I've no idea how old this distro is) - ie what's the equivalent of 'sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude safe-upgrad...

People - look at what you're doing here!
This thread is getting ridiculous - 231 pages of unsearchable stuff no-one can read through in a sensible time.
Go to the Saluki website there's a forum in there with *threads* - much more useful. This thread should be CLOSED ASAP by the mods here.

The bad things about win8: ... -metro-look is not desktop user friendly It's positively hostile to netbooks, my 1024x600 Dell Mini won't allow the Metro start screen to launch applications because there is a minimum screen size requirement (of 1024x768). Fortunately one can launch applications from...

Hi, two queries on a new Slacko install; - trying to find an Alpine package; the one in the linked Slackware repo has been compiled without stored password support, anyone seen an Alpine v2 package compiled with that support? - any alternative terminal programs to replace that urxvt one? Pref with o...
