Thanks for trying, I did not want to put you to any trouble, I have been looking for a main operating system for some time, and thought that caroliner was it, tried many, but I can use upup to run that specific software, thanks again for you effort.

I have a stupid question, but an idiot is asking it, so that's OK,
I downloaded the Linux version from here, http://slic3r.org/
but could not get it to run in carolina 1.0 (full install), but it runs in upup precise (frugal install), what am I doing wrong ?.

I downloaded the tarball and precise asked if it was a package, answered yes and it installed to the document menu, added the registration info and it works, I am amazed because things do not usually work out of the box for me as a noob. A bit off topic, but it would be wonderful if puppy could run emc2, with its ability to run on ancient hardware, it would make for an ideal platform for a workshop cnc control, maybe it can and I have not come across it, if so apologies.
