after installing xkb-data_2.10.1-1ubuntu1_all.deb from ubuntu repo, (and after X restart) my keyboard doesn't work any more.
It is a dependency for workrave.

Pemasu, did you set an auto update mechanism for firefox and such programs?
I can't prevent firefox from upgrading by choose "never check for updates", i must think that puppy does this.

new idea: did you try in ntfs filesystem? it's possible that ntfs and minus sign in the name don't like each other
