@jpit3, if you like vim -R as a pager take a look at vimpager for a better experience, such as vim key bindings, color schemes, and syntax highlighting support. I use it in tandem with less. Less is fast and reliable, a workhorse. vimpager is nicer when I want to study something in depth.

In vivaldi you can freeze background tabs (to what effect I'm not sure). Right click any tab label and choose "hybernate other tabs".

To the people using Anydesk, have you had any success exchanging mediaplayer audio? Fatdog64 <--> Fatdog64 audio is totally broken. Mint <--> Mint mediaplayer works. So does Mint --> Fatdog64 mediaplayer. As for voice audio, as in a phone call, niether Mint nor Fatdog64 works at all.

@AlexeiFD64, welcome! #1 By default shift INS and Ctrl+V do different things. Shift INS pastes from the "primary selection", while Ctrl-V pastes from the "clipboard". The primary selection is typically used by e.g. terminals when selecting text and pasting it by clicking the midd...

Yes, I noticed the same thing several months ago. Since then I've passed on version 5 and I only use version 4 unencumbered by blocked functionality. The drawbacks are that version 4 tells me a new upgrade is available each time it starts, and, of course, version 5 features are missing.

@partsman, some of the listed dependencies aren't available in the Fatdog package repository. So you will probably need to work a bit (or a lot) to get it working. Alternatively, several forum members have posted internet radio player scripts for Puppy and other Dogs, e.g. BusterDog, etc. I tried a ...

Unlike Linux, Windows doesn't use UTF-8 but a different character encoding for file names. My guess is that you created that file in Windows, not in Linux. When you view the file name through the network share, the cifs server converts the Windows encoding to UTF-8 so the name looks correct to Linux...

@nilsonmorales, the intent of line 511 is to offer translators a way to resize the window specifically for a translation. Notice how line 511 is a gettext entry. It might look weird, but really it's just a sentence. You should put it back as it was originally, then change the numbers directly in you...
