I need a quick Dropbox puppy, please.
I need to drop a couple mpg's with Dropbox because the vendor I'm using requires Dropbox. They make a bunch of cool website tools that I'm enjoying to use. You'll be pleasantly surprised if you've been looking to zip up your own site. So, I use mostly Carolina 1.1 as well as X-Precise 2.2. The site ...

How to stop screen blanking (watching movies, etc)
I use X-precise-2.2 pretty much all the time. I think it's necessary today to cut off the automatic "screensaver" mode, but I've yet to find it. Have a great weekend!!

Do they charge for shipping? That could double the price. Yes and shipping is $11 (laptops), $25 (small desktops), $35 (larger items). They require Paypal. Shipment is UPS/ground (receive it 5 days after you pay the seller). It's actually guaranteed to work, but I'm stating the obvious now... Pleas...

3 Current eBay Auctions (in next 5 hours)
I used this Arizona "recycler" one year ago. I'm happy to share this with my Puppy Linux friends. I hope someone finds it makes their Xmas shopping easier. Oh, and the towers shown probably won't exceed $100 (plus $25 shipping). I've never bought a laptop here so perhaps you can comment if...

Manual install didn't find the sfs at bootup
I decided awhile back to just make the directory, put the files in it, then copy/paste some menu.lst lines and most pup's boot right up. VanPup didn't make the cut here. Maybe I messed up but not really. Thank you starhawk & I will hit it again tomorrow.

Very sweet eBay PC auctions this morning...
I bought from this seller last December. You can follow me for more deals from time to time. http://www.ebay.com/sch/buybest15/m.html?_ipg&_from&_nkw&_armrs=1&_sop=1 These are almost all very newish (about 5 years old). They have 2 to 4 GB/Ram and 160GB Sata II Seagates. I personally...

I've been using it all day. It has everything and even normal stuff like FireFox seems more awesome. I'm trying to get my site (Puppy Only) more popular.

Nice Point upgrade
Having a pleasant summer in Portland Oregon, US.
I dnld the Delta the other day. This 7rc6 is very interesting. In truth, I'm swinging towards Pemasu's Upup 3.9.9 because of the kernel newness ( + i like JWM).
Continuing your Link prominently!!

this is a winner Pemasu
Just saying thanks. I'd gotten used to Barry's Buntu but this might be better!
The Firefox pet and all dependencies worked perfectly.
Don't you know... I put it on my little site, Linux without Eyes.

I'm looking for Chromium 28 for Barry's (5.7alpha2)
I just want to try a different browser. I tried the ln command above after Chromium 25 refused to "start as root". I could try the Firefox-testsuite_21.0+build2 but probably not... ----Kind of tired of Firefox. SeaMonkey does everything great actually. EDIT: just noticed the 49M Chrome pet...

Lighthouse started me cleaning my PC
I've been moving onto these newer kernel pups, like Lighthouse & Barry's latest 13.04 Raring. Grub4dos has been a big help too. I've mirrored Lighthouse on my Godaddy server and provided a link below (and my bootscreen for fun). :P http://www.beok.com/lnux 880 x 660 (bootscreen --Smartphone pict...

Why continue with Exprimo? What does it offer that Precise does not? Better software. I just switched to the Exprimo in this thread (5.X.3.4.12) from 5.X.3.6.2.1, which indeed has a newer kernel, but doesn't handle the software as well. For example in the newer version, lmms has dropouts (edit: spo...
