I've currently nuked the drive on my laptop, hehe :( Hope it wasn't because excessive compiling of octave forge No, I was trying to be fancy and set up multiple partitions on a single ssd, and tried to set up grub on the MBR, and then nothing worked. hehe, no worries. I would definitely like to get individual octave packages set up as .pet files but wasn't sure how to do it. I've currently nuked the drive on my laptop, hehe. I think I'm going to work from an sdcard in the future for this, so I'm free to nuke the disk whenever I like but still co...

FYI, I was able to get the signal package up and running in octave using math-slacko.sfs and devx_slacko_5.3.sfs. Some 'older' packages are required to work with the octave version in math-slacko.sfs. They are listed below and can be downloaded at http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave%...

I'm pretty new to puppy linux, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong: So Slacko (Puppy Linux 5.3) is supposed to have support for many slackware packages. Using the below links, won't Octave and Octave-Forge be able to be installed using the slackbuild scripts here: http://slackbuilds.org/reposi...

Google cr-48
I just want to report that I was able to successfully install Puppy Linux 5.2.8 to a Google cr-48 machine. I loaded a different bootloader on the machine ( http://cr-48.wikispaces.com/Flash+BIOS ) so the machine can be booted from USB or the sd-card. Using my other windows machine, I ran a Lupu 5.2....

Has anyone here tried to install octave-forge packages in any version of Puppy Linux? I'm attempting to build the signal ('pkg install signal-1.0.11.tar.gz' in octave) package working in Lupu 5.2.8 although the signal package depends on other octave packages (optim, specfun, struct, etc.) Once I get...

Firstly, a huge thanks to emil for doing all this. I'm currently using Lupu 5.2.8 and all the .pet files for just octave. It seems to be working great. :-) That said, I have some need for the octave forge signal package. Using the devx .sfs file, I'm in the process of getting everything I need for t...
