Thanks Fred!

I think I see now. I will have to put the DDog iso on a USB stick then as I'm running this in a VB on my Mac.

I will give this a shot as NOTHING likes to boot on a Mac, even from a USB drive.

Thanks again,

John

Steampunk?

It's like Dieselpunk, kind of a concept of cyfi and fantasy.

Sorry, wrong thread for this idea.

I'm currently trying to find out, what programs (from my huge list of SFS Modules) will work in L. A. S. S. I. E. - the results (a list of applications) will find its place in the second post of this thread. Rainer Hope you put up links to the packages too or maybe get Bigbass to help you make a do...

E., if the DEVX is loaded to the OS (it needs the Python). do the world a favour and make a python sfs... 150mb of sfs for a 7 mb interpretor just seems ...welll .... wrong ...

I will give this a spin as soon as I can, found a new Linux to USB app for Macs! I love my Macs but they don't play well with Linux so hope to give it a spin. If not, I will load it up on my netbook.

Re: New: Porteus-Wheezy2

I don't know ice but there should be an XML file in there some where that you will have to hand edit but this could be left for the builder to do but might want to document where it is located. The Porteus-Wheezy version doesn't use icewm (DebianDog does, which is maybe what you have tried - it nee...

Re: New: Porteus-Wheezy2

Porteus-Wheezy2-deb-kern-3.12.iso with kernel 3.12-0.bpo.1-486 from debian-backports (iso size is 139MB) . WOW... I didn't create a changes save file but portdeb saves changes anyway to debian/changes folder on the boot partition (casper-rw). How does that work? Is that a Porteus inherited feature?...

Let me know if you want the scripts and I will go look in my code and see what they are again. Thanks, John. I like to see this scripts. We still look for proper solution to make option for user account to reboot and shutdown and this is involved with using separate script for the start menu button...
