Tested in Precise 5.6.

Successfully converted a .mp3 to .wav.

Did not install it. Just extracted it and executed it from its extraction directory.

Why installing .deb packages by a terminal command like: dpkg -i *.deb?

Since Precise Puppy is based on Ubuntu Precise, .deb packages should install just by left-clicking a .deb package - like .pet files does.

Found it and solved.

Running xev will return the code needed. have used this much earlier, but could not remember xev using.
