PupSysInfo lists my graphics card correctly as ATI Radeon HD 5750, using the radeon kernel driver. So not a...

FYI I downloaded the pet from xenialpup64's quickpet and as I said the pet loads ok and works. Change the pet to sfs and run it in a fresh xenialpup save file and all the above happens. Looks like I'll just have to use the pet. @Mike Got some other things to do right now - will follow up your links ...

Just to clear up a couple of things: Startup repair has been run from the install dvd several times with no joy. No partitioning was done prior to this problem. The partitions have been unchanged for several years. Windows was working ok right up to the time I ran grub4dos. Must admit I am beginning...

Can't boot windows 7 after installing Grub4dos
I don't use windows much these days (just the odd game or prog that won't run in puppy). Got fed up with firing up from cd all the time, so decided to install/use grub. Fired up Tahrpup 606 and ran grub4dos, but I made one mistake (I think!). I did not tick "Do not rewrite the existing boot rec...

Hi 666philb Many thanks for your quick reply. Tried the change kernel with my current save file - worked, but a bit messy. So tried again with no save file (ie a clean start) using your 3.14.11_PAE kernel. Worked great with 4 gigs showing. Installed my favourite programs - no problems. Sometime in t...

Just been trying 6.0.6 32 bit on my toshiba L350 laptop (dual core pentium, 4 gigs memory) with great success. Nothing I have tried has failed yet. However, a check with hardinfo shows it is only seeing 3 gigs of memory, which I assume means this is a non PAE compile. In contrast 6.0.5 32 bit sees a...
