If you open "Puppy Package manager"

Click on the "Configure Package manager" button

Select "Ubuntu-Lucid-main" and click ok

Then do another search for Rdesktop.

Hope this helps

Sid

You are in the US? Maybe someone has one lying about and can mail it to you? That would be a nice gesture . . . . . . or try http://www.freecycle.org/ Assuming you have a USB port, the Netgear WN111 v2 "just worked" with my computer. I'm seeing them for $10 to $15: http://www.google.com/s...

apropos makewhatis

Hello,

I'm trying to use some of the commands I remember using years ago in linux. apropos seems to be there, but doesn't return anything useful. makewhatis doesn't seem to exist at all. Is there an alternative?

Windows Remote Desktop

Hello, I have lucid puppy 5.20. I'm trying to remote desktop into a Windows machine, but can't find an app to do it. I see rdesktop mentioned, but it doesn't appear to be installed on my machine. I don't see it in the list of packages that are available to be installed. Where do I go to get it? -Eric

OK, I guess, I can repartition and reinstall puppy like recommended on: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=29653 Just to confirm, my c: drive is ntfs, grub can be installed in the mbr of an ntfs drive, right? It looks like it can only be installed to a thumb drive that's fat 16. -Eric
