Thank you for your responses. The same card with HDMI is selected under Multiple Sound Card Wizard in both Precise5.7.1 and tahr6.0.5. But in the Retrovol, there are three more check boxes IEC958, IEC9581, IEC9582 under tahr6.0.5. Selection of the check boxes still cannot turn on the sound.

Hi Mike,

Your contribution on Chrome and Pepperflash is invaluable. Since Chrome is leading on html5 development, both Chrome and Pepperflash should be kept up-to-date. .pet is the easiest way for installation. Keep up with the good work. I look forward for your future contribution. Thanks.

Hi Mike,

I installed your Chrome 45 and the appropriate Pepperflash. The flash player is shown at 21 now. Thank you very much for your assistance. Since many web sites do not accept old flash player, latest Pepperflash should be included in the distribution.

The Dell Inspiron 15 is 3531 model. Dell setting has Fast Boot options: Auto, Thorough and Minimal, All three settings give the same sfs file not found error. I only have interest to find out the reason of this problem. Is this problem related to UEFI? Thanks for your responses.

Dell Inspiron 15 USB Boot Fail

After searching for Puppy files, "puppy_precise_5.7.1.sfs not found" shows up. The Dell setting was changed to "Legacy Boot Mode. Secure Boot Off" for usb boot. The same usb flash can boot up on HP ProBook 450. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.[/quote]

Gnome-mplayer subtitle Chinese Big5

Lucid Puppy 5.2 Gnome-mplayer:

Chinese subtitle .srt displays with garbled text using simhei.ttf and Big5 setting. It is the same problem on VLC 1.0.6.

The same .srt works on XP VLC 1.1.4 and Vista MPC. How can this problem be fixed? Thanks.
