@Mike Your first two images was what I meant by:- setting the homepage to DuckDuckGo or Startpage is something that the user is expected to do when initially setting up the browser to their own liking. Sorry, I should have explained that like you have. Cheers for pointing out about making assumption...

Could I suggest you add the above version of PM to the website under 'Internet'. I gives those trying to run Racy on less well speced machines the chance to run a reasonably up to date and easy to use browser. Can I also suggest that changing the homepage to duckduck go lite or startpage lets PM st...

Hi, tuxtoo - Use this download link for the Opera Mini sfs on your Racy website: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zrDXyfepDM8GDGMA30_HXNDhUi3sphfl This is a newly created sfs with Opera Mini already setup and probably also has a newer version of Opera Mini. The old thread on the forum is outdated,...

@nic007 I am intending to install to the HDD, just putting it on the pendrive first rather than a CD. Like you said, I started from the beginning. Essentially, I rebuilt the sfs as instructed and success! I have installed as a frugal as well as a full and both work great. Although is comes in a a ra...

Edit: Okay, I think I have isolated the problem. I've probably deleted DISTRO_SPECS from /etc when I did the kernel swop. /usr/bin/xwin looks for it at bootup. Attached the necessary file. Delete the file extension (.gz) and place it in /etc of the base sfs (you need to edit and repack the sfs file...

Don't know if this is the right place but I'm going to make a few points with regards to running Racy. This is specifically aimed at those users who need to run an older Puppy like Racy because of hardware constraints and not those who run it as some novelty or some old time fun project: 1. Racy is...

Hi, tuxtoo You may want to add Opera Mini to the Racy website. See here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=1042410#1042410 I am happy to add Opera mini to the website, but the link you gave above goes to a page that gives a link to the racy-6.0.5.iso. I confused, which is easily done.

Hi belham2 I can answer Q2, well, sort of. I prefer to have a full HD install of Puppy, so I am unable to answer in respect of a frugal install. Just in case it was a bad upload of sfs2pet-1.2.pet I downloaded it from the website (racypup.netlify.com), installed it then downloaded Picasa_3.0-57.4402...

@ wiak I wish someone as talented at doing this kind of work, such as yourself, All I brought to the table of this project was some mediocre web development skills. Without Mike's Puppy skills the website would be but a shadow of what it is. The reality is, Mike is the brains of the outfit and worki...

Maybe I am not seeing it. Because a lot of the download links in the Puppy forum, for Wary/Racy, are no good anymore. Maybe put a good one on this web site  Wary http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/wary-5.5/ Racy http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/racy-5.5/ May also want to give a link to this: Wa...
