UPDATE!

I managed to get X started with

Code: Select all

startx icewm
Which I think basically means that is not X but JWM what screwed up.. now I just need to find out how to restore JWM to an operational condition, but at least I have my Puppy barking again! Any ideas as to what could have happened to JWM?

All of a sudden I can't start X...

This is the most strange thing that happened to me... I left my laptop downloading some stuff (X with JWM and Chromium open, nothing else). When I came back my screen was black with some white lines on top. I did an X reset and couldn't get into X so I rebooted the machine (via command) and since it...

Problem keeping the wireless connected (Solved)

I don't know if it is actually a "problem" (like driver problem or something) or just a config. thing I can't find, but when I'm on wlan and I stop using the machine for a few minutes, when I come back the connection has been lost and I have to do all the connection setup again. Is there a...

Thanks Béèm!! Thank you all guys for your answers =) Now, does anyone knows where (in puppy 5.1.1) does the JWM taskbar config file is? I want to move it to the top of my screen but sadly doing so through the GUI options corrupted the file and I can't touch it anymore... I might replace it with a ne...

Thanks rcrn51, it worked! But I'm still wondering why right clic "copy" doesn't work with multiple files but it works with just one. Anyways, now I am customizing my Puppy but I hit some configuration in the "taskbar" and says something like corrupted config file keeping original...

Installing older PETs on newest Puppy? New Question!

Hi! I'm kinda new on this Puppy Linux distro. I just rescued an old laptop that had winxp on it and it was sooo slow so I installed Ubuntu 10.10 and it really didn't get much better. So I searched for distros with low requirements and found this amazing one! Congrats for making such a great distro =...
