Excellent "FrostyC" ! Been looking for something like this for ages. This has now made my mind up to change to Puppy full time. This was one of my biggest bugbears as well. Surprised you haven't had many takers. Is there any way to change colour of the icon to suit different themes? (Not a...

Hi and welcome to the kennels. Sorry not using puppy at the moment so can't tell you how to set the date permanently but if you hover over the time I'm sure the date appears. As for the little black rectangle I am pretty sure that it is a sort of CPU meter. Try doing something pretty intensive and w...

Crikey, with those specs Tahr should be flying !!!! I run Tahr on my desktop and it is plenty fast enough for me.Likewise I run Precise on the laptop and that's quite quick (ram to be upped to 2Gb soon methinks). I just cannot fathom this need for speed. I remember when web pages used to load a line...

Hi all, just testing on the desktop rig and all seems very good (hats off to B.K. as usual). Just a slight niggle ram usage seems a little high! Tahr 6.02 ,if I remember, only uses about 65-70Mb. Perhaps it is because it is compiled in T2, dunno (translated as don't know for those that don't underst...

This is indeed based on Puppy; Slacko 5.6 to be exact, see here, http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... da43e7651b.
A very good job it is to. I have used it and it looks quite stunning.
