We should be able to open multiple browser windows, and nothing else. I was planning to do this with chromium/seamonkey . (note: i would prefer if no wm is used) A contradiction! In order to open multiple browser windows , obviously you'll need a window manager. To strip down an existing one (which...

This time instead of configuring bootloader Glad you managed it ! I think you mean the BootManager [bootmanager] and not the bootloader [*grub*] but if you really got grub or the kernel to load the devx at startup I would be very interested in how to do this . As I got it, you copied the devx ( uns...

Finally got it! I started thinking this morning on the most sketchy part of this whole thing: compressing a squash file (devx) inside another squash file (lupu_520). Seems to me that would have the potential to cause some instability, especially because the devx is "mounted" and I'm trying...

Try the boot parameter pfix=nocopy . Found that a few minutes after I posted this earlier today but no luck. The lupu_520 doesn't get loaded into RAM, but the extra sessions still do. Kind of defeats the purpose of itself... but thanks for the reply. So what I tried next was to use the " Remas...

Save Session to CD & *NOT* load to RAM on boot? (Solved)

So what I'm trying to do is create a development environment out of Puppy Linux 5.2 (not for Linux, actually it's for a game console. Playstation 2 runs .ELF files). My plan was to create a multisession Puppy CD, install Firefox, devx, a couple SDKs, and save the session to a CD. I don't want to run...

Probably in the same category as the question above, but... is it possible to set the default window size in XFE? I've been though all the gui preferences and it doesn't seem to include anything for it. It's just kind of annoying having it open full screen all the time. Other than that, this thing k...

I accidently deleted my HDD

I tried to right-click on the hard drive and accidentally must have hit the "- Remove Item" selection on the context menu. How can I get it back?

It's known as "SDA1" if that matters..

-Thanks

MAKE installation - Where is devx_511.sfs?

According to this thread: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=41074&sid=547e633be0f5967c4cf5433cf8719c2c (read 4th post) There is supposed to be a devx_xxx.sfs associated with every version of puppy linux. Problem is that I can't seem to find anything past devx_421 & I'm running...
