Continued sound problem
Whenever i boot up Puppy Linux 5.1 (full install), i find that the volume is muted. So, after i open up 'Retrovol' and click on the 'Master' option the volume is restored. Volume muted?
Just booted up Puppy Linux 5.1 and have just noticed that the volume is muted? The freezing weather we're having around here must have frozen what ever grey matter i've got because i can't find where i can unmute the volume. Help someone please.

Un-Installing Software in Puppy Linux 5.1
Being as i can't get the Gnome Mplayer to play CD's or DVD's it's pointless having it at all. So could someone tell me how i can uninstall it please.

Recommended Security Precautions
I am running a full install of Puppy Linux 5.1 and have been looking at Recommended Security Precautions at http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Security. Was just wondering if this page is up-to-date and relevant to my Puppy 5.1.

How to create user accounts in Puppy?
Just opened up a terminal and typed in 'whoami' and discovered i was logged in as root. Is this safe? Shall have to create a new user and hope this will be alright.
