I have been running Live CD's and a frugal USB installation. If I understand it there is no way to "flush" re-initialize the cache. This reminds me of "memory"lock" / leak, zombies-hidden ? An analogy may be, droppings and artifacts left over. So, I have to re-boot... Can't ...
