Hi davids45, There are not many people who run with multiple partitions as we both do and I can confirm multiple display problems if things are not done in a certain sequence. In addition certain field values seem to have upper limits. In addition to what you have described it is all too easy to hav...

Re: Australia 'records fastest internet speed ever'

Stumbled across this today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52769796 It could revolutionise life as we know it. Notice that the transfer of data went down many fibers. This means that the fibers were not carrying more data faster but rather that they found a way to combine fibers to make a gr...

The speed mentioned in the article is not intended for the final hop to the home. Neither is that sort of speed/bandwidth needed at home. Think of it as an enormous boost to the global internet infrastructure which is currently struggling to meet the demand on bandwidth. It will solve that issue u‌s...

Have you considered, having the start up script give a random Murphy's Law? That would have good nostalgia value for computing! :) Hi s243a, Interesting suggestion, probably feasible as a separate optional script called from the end of the startup script. I have not done anything like that since 20...

Hi bigpup,

Thanks for your suggestion. In view of the fact that I have published the changed text of the relevant main script
with each pet version, I prefer in this case to keep them together but do take your point.
I have therefore added a link in the original post.

Hi Scott99, Good to hear that it is now working. I think you should go for proper placement straight away as placing the files in the desktop folder will also result in them being backed up in the save file/folder. Over time they can build up from a few hundred MB to GBs ! Left in the save file/fold...

Hi Scott99, I agree with Oscar that it is still not set up and configured correctly, but you are close to success as you were when Roku saw your Palemoon folder within opt. I am going to suggest an easy plan of attack which first involves re-winding. 1. Use PPM to uninstall Oscar's pet. 2. Reboot ma...

An easy practical implementation for Fatdog-810 Final [17 Jan 2020] @ The Fatdog Team, I posted here http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=1050582#1050582 about a DLNA Pet & Repository image for Bionicpup64 8.0. I see no reason why Fatdog should be left out in the cold so am attaching a ...

Bionicpup64 8.0 - DLNA Pet & Repository image

Over the years I have issued a series of DLNA puplets starting with DLNA Quirky Werewolf64 Pup (V1) in November 2015. The last one issued was DLNA Quirky Xerus Pup V2 in July 2017 and I am still using that on a daily basis. It is set as the default item on my vesamenu so it is simply a matter of tur...
