vst-shell plugins and audio mastering in Puppy Studio
qtractor 7.0, is in the new release of Studio 1337, and it now supports vst-shell plugins, (those installing multiple plugins at once) so the linux ports of world class U-he synths like Zebra, Diva, Hive, Bazille, Filterscape, and Ace, should work well. Zebra also installs the free 'Zebralette', and...

Hi. Do you know any combination that will definitely work? Thanks An maudio pci soundcard is hard to beat for ease of use, and automatic detection. Alesis QS8, QS7 are solid midi keyboards, on the used market, with piano action, and a nice synth/sounds built in, to supplement the linux soft synths ...

Looks like a major update. Good to see the 18.x kernels and newest apps in use. My savefile is at 16 gig. The screenshot looked a lot like the view through the window of my woodstove. Glad I save every pruned branch and twig for extended winters. Hope spring gets here before July 4th, even if only i...

Re: will there ever be a mac ibook g4 ppc edition of puppy?
Puppy would be perfect for these old power pc's. I have MATE from Ubuntu on it now., It is a bit slow. I hope there will be. Thanks. https://morph.zone/modules/news/ You might consider MorphOS, an Amiga OS replacement that runs on ibooks, Powerbooks, PPC mac mini,G4 and G5desktops, the faster eMacs...

Thanks for the new wine pet! Hope the winter hasn't been too brutal, unless you love cross-country skiing, and hot drinks after. :) I'm saving up for a used 2nd-gen motherboard, to give more superpowers and breathing room to the 1337 Studio. The new wine might get Rhino and Headcase gui's working sm...

 OK, caught up on the PM  Thanks for the Yoshimi.pet! Maybe you could write up or suggest a step-by-step guide to compile an app for the puppy studios? (edit: found some good generic slackware compiling tutorials, I'll see how far they go in the studio) Looks like it already has most of ...

Looks like a great update. 8) There's been a lot of interest in the linux U-he synth/fx plugin ports, and the bitwig linux DAW. The requirements for them seem to be gtk 3.x, and glibc 2.15, for u-he, and for bitwig, 64 bits, and lib xcb with -iccm and -wm variants. Supposedly, nightly builds of Ardo...

Can you add debian unstable to your repositories list?
A lot of audio apps show up there after successful initial tests,
and are usually quite usable.
Cheers

I'll get one of the kids to download. I put the leetsave file on an ssd, and after linking 15 gigs of folders (.wine, /home/me/Documents, hydrogen, and zynaddsubfx) I had a nice session going. @ciento I think you will find that the majority of the 18,000 to be laid off are from microsoft's new purchase, Nokia company! The Nokia refugees will probably be rehired, with fewer hours, and lower pay, to help the M get back into the phone sector. The damages now being prepared for by the horde ...
