All seems good with scribus but I've quickly realised you can't do much with only the default fonts. I've tried a couple of .pets and got font files in the /usr/share/fonts directory but no joy in using them (in scribus or Abiword). Any links to more info as I seem to be getting dead ends and I assu...

Use ndsiwrapper by clicking load module in the network wizard then it's on its own tab. I thought there was a problem with it in Lupi though, although that may have been sorted out since I last tried.

Thanks for the replies so quickly. I've previously tried Lupi, among other pups but with 128mb of memory, I'm really liking Turbo pup. RJARRRPCGP. I Thought that might be the reply, I've borrowed a friends card for the night, plugged it in and so for so good (I'm using it right now). If buying a new...

Flakey Wireless, is it hardware, software? (sorted)

My question is How do I figure out if my wireless problems are software related, or whether it's my card (and I could solve it buy getting a different one), or a PCMCIA issue (I could get a USB dongle). I've got puppy running on a Toshiba 3490 notebook with an Asus WL170g pcmcia wireless card, I'm u...

Hi, I recently picked up a very cheap Toshiba 3490ct, it probably dates from about 2005. I now have a happy turbopup xtreme running on it with pcmcia wireless. My two biggest hurdles were not having a CD drive (it's too small) and not being able to boot from USB (it's too old). My solution was to pu...
